I am really unhappy with the customer service i have received at TJ HUGHES i want to contact someone up top of the food chain!

In a nutshell I have just experienced terrible C/S from TJ HUGHES. The likes of which i thought disappeared some years back.

In brief i ordered three items, delivery was slow but when my three items of clothing arrived I noticed one had a large rip with white filler coming out from the neck of the garment and the other the Muppet who packet it had left the large Frisbee like circular security tag attached to the garment which i had no means of removing.

I fired off two emails and after the third day i called them up and I was promised that two replacement items were put to one side for me and when they received the damaged garments the replacements would be sent without delay..... Huh yeah right.

After many phone calls / Emails and being fobbed off that the replacements was still rolling through there systems I eventually got told that these items are now out of stock.

I explained to the C/S advisor ( Trained chimp ) that i was promised that two items were awaiting immediate dispatch to me. He said that there was no record of this and put me on hold for 5minutes before returning saying that only one colour was now in stock and would i like two of the same. I said to him why would i want two of the same colour when i asked for a grey and black item, this was acknowledged by an inaudible grunt! rep did'nt even oblige me with a token "I am sorry".

I feel completely let down and thoroughly p***** off by there incompetence and couldn't care less attitude.

I really want to complain but they would just fob me off and not reply to my email and if i spoke to someone in person i feel id get the same treatment.

How can i contact someone higher up the food chain. There CE if Beatrice LAFON yeah it could be seen as alittle OTT but i really want to fire off an email. Does anyone know any sites were Senior staff contact details can be obtained so i can email here directly?

had a problem with them a while back regarding my tv.

very unhelpful and reluctant to let you speak to a manager!

Just bump this thread everyday, I feel with the thousands of people that will then see this, that will be revenge enough :D

Then just get a refund, happily in the knowledge they have been "brought to justice" you could even tell yourself that you have "fined" them, through all their lost sales :D

Don't email....send a letter and send it recorded so they know you mean business...keep it to 1 sheet of paper, straight to the point and if they value their customers you'll get a voucher, if they don't...you won't! :)

The best advice I can give is for you to not steam in as you have done with this thread. Such remarks like "trained chimp" and "muppet" will do you no favours. You need to get your point across in a professional yet firm manner. Put your issues to them in a chronological order and finish your letter off with what you expect them to do in a certain space of time.

Also, I would remove the last part of your opening post. Whilst this is only an opinion people can draw their own conclusions of the competence from what you have already detailed.

While I have not had any experience with the company so don't know of their customer support. Calling their staff Muppets and trained chimps would hardly inspire me to provide you with good customer service. So they have made mistakes but I don't see that gives you the right to have this bad attitude. They have offered you replacements from what is available and I'm sure they would be happy to collect the goods from you and offer a full refund.

If the op's experience has been as bad as described, then I think he has every reason to have the dam hump. Its his money after all and he has been messed around multiple times.

The level of customer service in some companies at the moment is disgusting.

For the record when i spoke to the advisor i was polite and courteous as i was brought up to be. My "bad attitude" or frustration as i would like to call it was kept very much in check!

I would never send anything in writing referring to someone as a "trained chimp" this is merely a comment made on a misc thread on a website.

Anyone who has had any dealings with this company in the past and dealt with there CS would know exactly what i am talking about and would understand my frustration.

I still maintain that you use this company at your peril, I have researched there reviews on other website and my story is not unique, all reviewers have left just one star......... as you could'nt leave no stars at all.

When the offer for 3 for 2 was on I ordered 3 suitcases. they delivered 2 and charged me full price. After a month of phone calls I have now had a refund but it was hard work. I personally will not be dealing again with them. Why would they let an order go through on a 342 offer and only send 2.
