Turn off the power source before removing from the wall. Although it seems obvious, sometimes it's easy to forget if you're multitasking. Do not use it at all until you have your replacement.
If you have a battery powered unit, you may just use it with batteries while you wait for your replacement. What now?
Contact Medela ASAP if you have an affected unit.
You can ordert a replacement power plug from Medela - Youll need to fill out the form Here
You won't at all be required to have proof of purchase. Medela will send out your replacement with a PAID postage bag for returning the faulty one.
Medela do stress that the pump itself is unaffected and it is purely a detachable plug issue.
"*You will be required to provide the 'Serial Number' of the pump. This can be easily found by removing the battery cover of the pump, and the number will be found on the back starting with the letters 'SN'. Proof of purchase is not required, however please provide an estimate date of purchase."
