I am needing to buy a few DVD's/Bluerays over the weekend and wondering what you talented bunch can come up with.

I enjoy films that feature gangs, crime, drugs that kinda thing..

Not a fan of horror movies.

;) Thanks!

The Big Lebowski.

Now don't come back until you've watched it. Go on, go.

Are you looking for films that are spoken primarily in English? I imagine you've seen the more obvious of choices, i.e. Goodfellas, The Godfather, Pulp Fiction, Snatch, Scarface, The Departed and so on?

No, all films that fall into the sort of areas that I have suggested are welcome :) All the ones you have listed, apart from Snatch I have seen and LOVED!

If you're not opposed to reading subtitles, then there are a number of decent Japanese crime movies out there, Violent Cop (Takeshi Kitano) Hana-bi (also Takeshi Kitano), Infernal Affairs (which was remade into The Departed) are a few suggestions. Someone else mentioned City of God, which is definitely recommended (Brazilian film with Portuguese subtitles). Amores perros is a good Mexican movie (subtitled in Spanish). Gomorrah is a fantastic Italian film. A Prophet (or Un prophète) is a good French crime movie, too.

BUS 174 then for sure

£4.99 from amazon

do NOT read to much about the hostage crisis as it may spoil the outcome!

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0002ISGTC/ref=nosim/bestbook-21?dev-t=D10SBASHC4I9Q1

140 minutes long but the first time I have ever sat through a film that long without stopping for a break! A very uneasy watch though
