Seriously? You have to ask?

Definalty inform the bank as could be a case of someone obtaining credit under your address etc or could just be a mistake by the bank but you need to inform them

consideer ID fraud is being commited under your name -
report to bank immediatly , get credit report eg experian , equifax etc to check and keep regular future checks .

yes cos i dont have any account on the named bank . so its not identity theft or something like tht. And i really cant be bothered to go to the bank. But if thats what should be done... then ill do it. So i would like to know if i could just dispose it or to the bank.
An advice pls.

That's alright then if you don't have an account at the bank then there is no way anything could go wrong.

The mind boggles on here sometimes.

Had the same thing happen. I went to the bank with the cheque book and complained about the event. I asked why were they sending me a cheque book belonging to some one else! All they could say, was they were sorry. I just said, I was not impressed.

if you dont want to travel to the bank, then phone them and speak to them, they may cancel the cheques without you having to see them.
or you could buy some chrimble presents with it.:p

Plenty of nightmare stories online of address's getting bad credit due to past residents/tenants and certain credit searches black listing subsequent owners/residents etc.

Return it and all related mail asap.
