Hi

Can anyone personally recommend some good hair clippers, that can also be used to trim a beard.

Most of them require oil, but I've seen some that say thay don't need oil. Anyone know what these are like?

Thanks

Is it ceramic blades that don't need oiling?

I believe Wahl are a good make.

Doon't laugh, or cringe, but I use Wahl Ceramic rechargeable dog grooming clippers. You can get them from Argos. Sounds daft but if you think they are designed to get through matted dog fur, so are that sharp you barely know when someones clipping your hair. They are ceramic, so no need for re-sharpening, EVER!! They are re-chargeable, so can be used anywhere.

Slightly more expensive than standard clippers, but you really get what you pay for, trust me!

I know, but they really are brilliant. My wife lines the whole family and does us one at a time, including the Shih tsu!!

Every couple of weeks the kitchen looks like a scene from Full Metal Jacket, all queuing to have our hair shaved off, including the dog!! :-D

I knew you'd ask that. Yes, she does. What happened was, we bought the dog grooming ones and I decided to try them first. Realised that they were really good, so the dog ended up with our older ones and I use these.

My god, what do you take me for??

these are great.

Had my set about 4 years, used them regularily, and although they do need oil occasionally, they come with a small bottle of oil. I am still using the same bottle it came with and I havent used anymore than a third as they literally require 2 drops every 3-5 uses.

Comes with a huge array of attachments and accessories and a convenient case to keep them in.

A total steal.

Before that I tried some Nicky Clarke ones, they lasted less than a month before they gave up and were twice as expensive.

I always considered Wahl a 'cheap' brand, thinking they were of lower quality, but I soon changed my mind. There must be a reason why hairdressers and barbers use their products... in my opinion its because they are not only great value, but also very reliable.

I would definatly recommend wahl clippers, i've used many different brands before, as i used to be a hairdresser and none compare to the quality and longevity of the wahl ones.

I’d recommend the hair clippers Karmin T70!!
