I bought two Life Mobile sim recently and cannot recommend them enough. The second sim was faulty when Life Mobile tried to activate it but they sent out a new one.

I ported my number from EE to one of the sim and it took place without a hiccup within 2 working days.

Such great value sim plans that I would definately recommend these guys if you are looking for a sim only plan.

I was persuaded by EE to renew another sim contract instead of going to Life Mobile on that one as well as I thought that the 4G offered by EE was going to be superior and I was concerned that the 3G signal for data offered by Life Mobile was going to be poor in comparison.

However, testing both sims at home (Surrey), there is no difference noted in speed between EE 4G and Life Mobile 3G. Both are reasonably fast so I was pleasantly surprised with Life 3G speed.

Thought I would post this in case it helps someone who wants a cheap, good value sim that runs on the EE network.

I went with I.D mobile as it has 4g. £5 a month gets 1gig, 5000 texts and I believe it was 250mins or 1000. The sims for a family member.

I pay £31.50/M for an s6 edge 64gb, 4gb data, United mins and texts with Vodafone. Considering I.D mobile when my contract ends next year.

So 1 out of 2 worked fine, the other failed due to a faulty sim that the company supplied.

I call it a disaster lol.

I have never had a faulty sim from other providers and I have been with T-Mobile, EE, O2, Vodafone, Orange so it is surprising that this could even happen but the others send sim out pre-activated so they can tell at source if the sim is faulty or not before sending it out.

Life Mobile sends sim out without them being activated and only activate them 2 days after they are sent out, I guess for security reason.

For the low cost, this small inconvenience is acceptable in my opinion as they sent out another one straightaway, which worked fine as they pre activated it before posting due to the delay.

Remember 2 sims together would look like a sandwich.

That is an interesting point. I haven't used the data since testing. I was just interested in the speed as I plan to move to Life Mobile when my EE ends next year. I put the sim in and open a web page to see how quickly it opened the page, which is what matters to me as I want quick access to HUKD :D

Anyway, I didn't notice any difference between the 4G EE sim and the 3G Life Mobile sim as to how quickly the page is opened. I opened the page twice by closing down google chrome then open it again. When I looked at my Life Mobile account, it said I had used just over 1.5MB of data.

Is this reasonable for what I did?
