Anyone know any good gigs coming up for either comedy or music (or combination of both).

I like alternative style comedy like Dylan Moran, Mitch Hedberg etc.

Music wise I like stuff like: M Ward, Shins, Neil Young, Ryan Adams, Bon Iver, Elliot Smith etc.

Obviously I know some of the above are dead so unlikely to be touring but I'm looking for artists similar to the above who might be touring the UK.

Thanks and rep will be given for any good suggestions.

David Gray, Eels, I Am Kloot at a quick glance at blokes with acoustic guitars... Eels probably the best out of that lot.

As for comedy, Stewart Francis is currently up and down the country.

If you hate all of the above... you shouldn't. Only two of them...

Eels could be a really good gig, I had a quick look on ticketmaster before I posted here and that was one of the few gigs that stood out.

I didn't know that Stewart Francis was touring, from the brief stuff i've seen of him on comedy panel shows he seems to have a similar style of humour to Mitch.

I'm not a fan though of old shaky head Gray, i'll check out Kloot tonight though.

Thanks for the ideas

I can't find any really good gigs coming up.

Everything seems so "Lady Gaga" in the music industry at the moment

Also noticed many artists don't venture north of Birmingham these days
