Curb your enthusiasm is very funny, also if you have never seen it then The Office (american version with Steve Carrell) is brilliant.
#7
supernatural
the tudors
#8
Miranda (channel 2 when its on, but think its just finished. Worth getting dvd)
not going out (channel 1 when its on, not at the moment, dvds are pretty cheap though)

^Dad finds both of those REALLY funny, and he likes a few you have mentioned

Flash forward when it comes out on dvd would probably be your style, is a 24 type thing

My Name Is Earl is a must!

The early stuff by Reeves and Mortimer is really funny and available cheaply on DVD.

I would also recommend Knowing Me, Knowing You, and both series of I'm Alan Partridge (DVD but they seem to be on Dave regularly as well).

As an alternative, the original Flight of the Conchords series that started on the radio is excellent; they are visiting the UK not America in this one. Rob Brydon narrates it, and a lot of the songs from the TV shows are included. You can get it on audiobook, I would highly recommend it and thought it was better in parts than the TV version (especially Brydon who is really good).

I know, really got into this after taking a chance on it after seeing it on Amazon cheap. Really funny and my sort of dry humour. Preffered the first series more but all 3 well worth watching. The christmas special is really good too, the murder mystery is brilliant, lol

I liked Chuck and 30 Rock too, but I found Arrested Development, Curb your Enuthusiasm and The American Office much better!

The Big Bang Theory!! Love it although a bit late getting into it.
