cala dor in menoca, really nice
L'Estartit (Gerona Airport) in Spain is Fab. I'm going in July for 3 weeks with my 2 and 5 (almost) year old and they love it. Not to commercialised although a lot more now then it ever was. I've been going once or twice a year for 29 years almost (ever since I was 6 months old). It's on the coast and has a beautiful Marina. Night life if required, but not in your face. I highly ecommend it. And fairly cheap flights through Ryanair.
Go to Salou in mainland Spain... Good price, very clean beaches, and the best part is that Salou is only about 10 mins from 'Port Aventura & Costa Carribe'
Port Aventura is a massive Warner Bros. park, similar to a Disney Land type place...It's absolutely fantastic for kids and adults.
Cost Carribe is a huge water park, right next to it.
If your after a quiet, freindly, lie on the beach all day holiday, id definatly recommend Menorca. Great place and people, wouldnt recommend it if your after night life, it was just what me and my girlfriend were looking for last September, great weather and beaches. We stayed in the area called Punta Prima, about 15 mins on the bus from the main city, we stayed in a hotel called Barcelo Pueblo or Pueblo Barcelo, half board, nice apartment, great food, entertainment and staff.

Would recommend to any one.
cala d'or is lovely (although is in Majorca, not Menorca).

Totally agree, great place with a few small sandy cove beaches with safe swimming - ideal for children and plenty of good restaurants. Been many times.
