Recyling not collected, any ideas why and on who to speak to?

Its a weird one, I have 2 possibile theories both are prety much the same reason. I left my housemates recycling in the kitchen as hes too lazy to take it out to the back (despite it being seconds to open a door and dump it in) so he came back at the same time as the binmen came so I assume either its because he dumped his recycling into one bag overflowing it, but then why werent the other 2 taken and why was the glass and metal one taken.

Idea 2 is similar, as he put his recycling out the same time as they arrived they may of just missed him out either intending to do it or such.

Either way who do I get on to? the council refuse department?

if your roomate missed the pickup, cant expect the council to come out again special! get onto your roomate about laziness!

just have to wait till next week

but if the council did indeed miss the pickup, they will come out and get it, talk to the council refuse department, and they will have harsh words with the contractor they use, they will come and get it.

This has happened several times to us, but its because i've mixed paper with card!! so it could be you have something they dont take or one of your above reasons. Ring your local council and ask.

No but the actual bags were at the front, and I am not talking bin bags, I am talking about these green fabric bags that have a flap at the top.

The council didnt miss the pickup as every other house on the street had theirs colelcted.

I dont think its due to the wrong things being in there as all there was, was pizza boxes, cardboard from ready meals and emptied milk and soft drink bottles all washed as I always organise the recycling each fortnight.

Found out why, silly though we put the correct things in the bags but mixed them i.e put plastic bottles in both bags instead of one bag of bottles and one of cardboard.

I have to ring for my bin to be especially emptied all the time, I put it out and the neighbours hide it until they've been then put it back out, weirdo's! ! argument is all it takes.
