they might give you an exchange or a credit note but dont think they will refund. Is there something wrong with it?

your packing counts as the reciept..thee is a label on the outside that says this serves as your reciept(something like that..) would probably be easier to call them up and get them to come and pick it up..then they will refund your card...

ok thanks i will do that

You should be covered by the distance selling regs anyways... there shouldn't be a problem with getting a refund as long as you haven't had it for more than 7 working days :)

i could do that
do you think someone would want it then even though i dont have a receipt

I bought a DS Lite from game instore & they sealed it with a plastic sticker both ends of box which had label that it could be returned still sealed within 28 days for a full refund.

I can understand Argos not wanting people to play games etc then return them, but excluding sealed console equipment from their 30 day guarantee seems harsh. Why don't you try taking it to your local store with the email receipt & just plead ignorance & see what they say - nothing to lose & you may get lucky. good luck anyway. :)

just sell it on ebay you may get around £100 for it so a profit lol or sell it on here for rrp plus postage.

Wait until it's out of stock and then return it because it doesn't work.

Take it back to the store ( in original packaging but opened) and say it has an intermittent fault, as they wont have any stock they will refund anyway.
Take a copy of the email confirming your order if you can and any paperwork on/in the packaging. If you paid by card then take a copy of the statement showing the transaction - all this is only necessary to ensure they give you a cash refund and not vouchers.

The 30 day refund exemption is for non faulty items, yours is now faulty!
