Remember them ? I still have the original games complete with the rubber keyboard speccy.

Think I had about 300+ games at the last count and about 12 or so programming books (z80a).

dizzy was ace... i had loads of them, only one i can remember is dizzy down the rapids, but that was no where near as good as the puzzle games

Excellent game. But i always went back to playing Football Manager, Skool Daze & Trashman. Haven't enjoyed games that much for about 20 years.

Skool Daze was ace, got skool daze klass of 99 on my work laptop to play between jobs. Trashman I forgot all about that game, It was ace. Gonna go have a look for it now.

Bzzzzz..zzttttt..zzzzzzzzz...zeeeeeee..zttt...bzzzzzz...weeeeeeeeeeeeee....ztttttttt

*Dizzy loading*

Specys ruled.. even when you waited 15 minutes for a game to load (or crash) only to find out it sucked!

I loved Dizzy. I loved my spectrum was the first comp I had *sigh* Stupid amount of time for a game to load. Anyone remeber programing the keyboard to play tunes? Took forever with about 10 screans of programing only to find you made a mistake on the first bloomin line :giggle:

i remember it fondly, the old computer games beat anything the xbox 360 or ps3 has to offer lol.

The Dizzy games were great. Should I be worried that I remember the cheats 'ICANFLY' for Treasure Island Dizzy and 'IMMORTAL' for Fantasy World Dizzy? I actually had Dizzy collection at one stage, I hope the next owner didn't commit it to a landfill!

I used to play them on my Atari STE, which we got rid of 14 years ago, I used to prefer the music on my mate's Spectrum versions though :)

Tonight I've been playing old N64 games in high res with my XB360 pad, they look absolutely amazing and I had more fun than with any recent title.

Edit: Just had to post this www.fantasticdizzy.co.uk

Edit 2: Wow, I found Treasure Island for legal download on the Codemasters website http://www.codemasters.co.uk/downloads/index.php?downloadid=17413

Jetset Willy

Now theres a game!!!

We had the 48k with the seperate keyboard and tape loader. I remember the day we got the 128K to replace it.

Oh and Horrace goes skiing,...

Sabre Wolf.

I was 64 man myself (I liked a bit of colour in my games), never owned a Speccy, hated them for most of the part.

What about Falcon Patrol, Hungry Horrace, Motor Mania, Way Of The Exploding Fist, Pitstop II, Winter Olympics, Hyper Sports, Everyones A Wally, Zaxxon, Paradroid.....oh man the list can go on.

And an all time classic - FLOOD! (Oh I think that may have been the next gen, that may have been on the Amiga and such).

Yey for Flood :)

I remember when my dad bought our first computer (the aforementioned Atari ST) and the first games I ever owned: Chase HQ and Batman the Movie. My faves though were Turrican 2, Speedball 2, Spy vs Spy: The Island Caper, Bubble Bobble, Rainbow Islands, Future Wars, Operation Stealth, Black Lantern, Pitfighter (god that was an awful conversion), Jimmy White's Whirlwind Snooker, Populous, Supercars 2 And so on...

Just looked at this pic and felt all nostalgic, used to love the boxes - none of this amaray nonsense.

I almost forgot Elvira! God that seemed violent at the time.Guess it was my adventure equivalent of Oblivion at the time!

While all my friends had 48K Spectrums my Dad bought an Atari 800!

So I was playing Star Raider, Centipede, Pole Position to name a few.

Went round my friends to play all the Speccy games though, Jet Set Willy seemed amazing at the time.(Ant attack, Jetpac, WOTEF)

Elite and Frak on the BBC micro were great too.

Also remember some sad games on the ZX81, Dragon and Vic20.

It all started though with B+W Pong on the TV!:)

Some on eBay if I'm looking at the right ones.
