RENAULT CODES

Radio in my Renault Scenic stopped working when had a Parrot gizmo for hands free phone fitted the other day. It has taken me a few days to figure out that code for radio needed (They did not mention I would need to reset the radio code). So I now have whizzy phone set up but no radio.

Travelling 500 miles this weekend. Cannot find the Renault book that has the code in it. Rang Renault and they said we have to go to dealer and it would cost £25 to arrange new code.!!!!!!!!

I love my radio and I can only listen to so much of the teens stuff on their MP3 wotsits which are all working fine.

Hoping someone here can find a way round this problem, other than taking my transistor in the car ;~(

£1 on ebay for the code.

The code should be in the inside cover of your service handbook.

I had this problem when doing some work in my clio. the radio stopped working and asked for a code.

EDIT: just realised you didnt have the book. Why not?

Get yourself on a Renault forum & ask nicely as this can be done over the phone/email all they need is the serial number of your radio & it's a 30 sec job

I have a code generator i need the last 4 digits of the serial number or the security code on the label on the radio

Once again guys, solved my problem. :friends:
Managed to get the radio out and get serial numbers.
Went via EBay in the end. Instant. Done.

My sanity will be retained, over all the miles :w00t:

Wishing you all a happy bank holiday weekend

Thanks, not just the cost but the convenience, not having to GO to the Renault dealer. All done in 5 mins
