it had to pay £1.45 for one about 3 years ago - i could get one made elsewhere to open the doors but not to turn the engine on - not sure if thats still the case ?

update - need to go to bed - meant £145 not £1.45 !

Just got one for my Laguna cheapest i could find was an indie specialist cost £135.30 includung VAT. They have to pre order the cards from France then get the codes for your car and ring france to get the new code. Some are advertising on Fleabay for about £90 coded if you go to them don't know what the outcome will be though.

AFAIK you can only get them from Renault maindealer as they need to be ordered from France & then programmed. We got a new one from Renault about 1 month ago @ £144 inc prog & it took about 5 days to arrive. (that was for a Laguna keycard though)
Have a look in the Renault forums they may help more

The garage just has to be approved for Renault repairs, The one i used was Cross keys garage which is based in Leeds the main dealers in Wakefield wanted £180. The Keycard took over a week and about 30mins for the coding. You need to ring round though cause there is no fixed price and everywhere charges differently.
