Wish I'd have done that now  how did today go?

went today. several car parks, we parked nearest to 'abbey' walked all over the track to get a feel of the best areas to photograph etc (oh and except for the hill that faced the chicane but it might be the crew hills/stands). tbh the best place to take a photo (with regards to the wire mesh/fence) was at abbey, also where the chicane is. you can also get a good spot near the curve/bend after the pit stop.

tomorrow will prolly be quite busy so expect traffic slowdown.

Me and my dad just bike up the A45 from towcester.. oh how i laugh when all the people are stuck in their cars :)
#13
yeah but if u have 5 people in our car ...
was it you with that fidgety bag at the back?? hehe

my OH rides a bike, me pillion ... but too far for us today, esp with late nights this week.

did you see the messers (chavs *rolls eyes to heaven) who got out of their cars and started 'attacking' each other, opening doors, flipping each other's car wipers, boots, leaving doors open etc ... yeah yeah entertaining for a second but my thought was with a few bikers who filtered thru at top speed and if these kids were not careful (one of them was not handling his/his sister's car well, shaky handling) it could be a nasty hit by a bike, with consequences to the biker unfortunately.

Leaving in 10 minutes, 90 odd miles to travel!

It was a very good day, got up this mrning, had a little BBQ for breakie, then packed the tent away (we stayed at whittlebury Hall, very posh place:)), decided (foolishly) to drive to the track instead of walking from the camp site, got there and realised that at home time it was going to be a nightmare to get out, so we left a little after the Formula 3.5 cars finished (me correctly guessing the Red Bull car would win, lol)
All in all a great day out, the noise at the starting line was deafening but we sat there and endured it for the whole 26 laps :) and now myself and my OH look like a couple of Lobsters, as it was a scorching day.
On a side note, my mum had a nice little garden fete today, in order to raise money for Cancer Research, she managed to get almost £400 by having Cream Tea's, tumbolas and selling cakes (which she worked excessively hard on), so well done her, just thought I would share that with you :

Mike.. (burnt and revising)

I echo most of your sentinments. It was a great day, even better weather than expected as I found out when i got in the shower and realised how burnt my face, arms and neck were. I took my 8yr old and 4yr ld sons, and the highlight for both of them was standing ON Bridge with the Formla 3.5 and the solo F1 cars racing underneath us. The noise was both deafening and intoxicating. Not my first time to an event like this, but it was for the boys, and they've already asked if we can go again without Mrs kyalion and daughter next year !!
This is my face today  Turning brown nicely LOL
