Renting a car in Florida - Any recommendations?

I'm heading to Miami next month, and me and my friend are planning on going to Orlando, Key West and the Everglades.

The idea is to rent a car, but we are quite worried about the excesses we would have to pay had anything happened to the car.

Would anyone recommend any car hire companies in Miami and should I be using any of these for my insurance? "Daily Excess , Car Hire Excess, Worldwide Insure and Questor Insurance"

Cheers guys!

Just use the internet for the best deal. Usually better to pay waivers in advance (cheaper here as they have you over the counter there)

Did you take out any additional insurance with them or anyone else?

Just had a look at carhire3000 and they seem to be really competitive on price.

Should I now go for added insurance from the companies above? And anyone else with good/bad feedback for carhire3000?

Thanks again!

last time i went, i used easycar.com (they used dollar)
this time, it was a tossup between them and netflights.com. i ended up with netflights, as it worked out about £15 cheaper. the booking this time is with thrifty, although they are also owned by dollar, so i expect it to be pretty much the same deal as last time.

both sites give cashback via quidco as well.
