About to buy my mate a white San Fran (I've got one of the original OLED with the grey covers) Is it possble to swap the casings over as he's not bothered what colour his is anyway and i want mine to have a white casing?

Thanks for any pointers ;-)

Ignore dude above, be very careful is the first thing.... and use those little special screw drivers you buy off ebay.... or just go to your local phone shop and get them to do it.

Everything is possible, it's just a matter of how tricky the task is relative to how skillful the guy attempting it can be. With the OSF, I'd imagine the task would be relatively easy, since it is quite a basic build. I'd just recommend setting yourself up with a large, clean work area with lots of sheets of paper and small containers for all the screws that you'll need to remove in order to take the whole thing apart and put it back together, and set aside about two hours for the task, since it's not the sort of thing you want to have interrupted.

Just thought i'd put an update. Changed the casing without any snags.

So i've now got a White San Fran with an OLED screen :D

I think the White San Fran looks naff, i think it's the black edging on the screen that is still there makes it look odd.

To get rid of the Orange logo on the White San Fran rub with a sugar cube.

Used some T-Cut and the logo came off after a few minutes of rubbing and no other scratches etc to the casing.

Also got one of the clear rubber casing on it, with a mirrored screen protector.

Looks bob on....... In my opinion :)

Just wish the battery lasted longer and the camera was better, other than those 2 issues its a great phone and can be found at a great price.
