Hi all,
I'm trying to carry out some research for a University project, things related to the Olympics 2012.
We are trying to find out what will be the next 'big thing' for when the Olympics is in London is less than 3 years time.

For example, when the world cup was on a few years ago, there were such things like the
Flags you attached to your cars and probably other things.

Trying to gather some ideas, Here are a few questions I would like some responses

What do people think will be the 'in thing'?
What would you like to see?

Good replies will be awarded rep, so get your thinking hats on, and I will with my ideas :)

I think the car flags will happen again, probably with Union Jacks or/and Olympic rings on them.

How about gold medals (kids could wear them round their necks in school) or gold badges with London 2012 on them, but not that awful logo they've come up with

I think the merchandising will be massive, Hats, Flags, Badges, Car Stickers, Inflatebles and defo Coke bottles etc but I do agree that the logo is horrible!

Anyone north off watford wont give a fig, there wont be any flags on my cars.

But for a more sensible answer, I imagine it would be linked to whatever the main sponsers are such as Coca Cola, Budweiser etc.

In beijing coca cola were the main sponsor and built a huge area near the stadium and the plan is to do the same again. they are already planning big activities for the staff in the lead up to 2012 so you can imagine some major advertising alongside it and most probably give aways as it is also a british team sponsor as well
