E C & S Developments Limited Trading AS reserveahotelonline.com in administration

On 18 September 2008, Paul Stanley and Jason Greenhalgh of Begbies Traynor, 340 Deansgate, Manchester M3 4LY were appointed as Joint Administrators of the Company.

Because of the nature of the industry and the strong Euro, the Company has been unable to generate sufficient sales to break even, even though the directors have made costs cuts. As a consequence, the directors took the decision to place the Company into Administration.

The appointment of Administrators causes the bank account to be frozen. Even though you may have made payment in full to the Company for the accommodation, it is not possible for the accommodation to be paid for by the Company. Therefore, the accommodation booked cannot be honoured by the Company. Any claim that you may have will be dealt with in the Administration. However, it may be that you can make a claim from your credit card company if you have paid for the accommodation with a credit card. You are advised to contact them as soon as possible if this is the case.

The hotel/apartment you have booked may allow you to take over the room so you may wish to contact them directly. Alternatively, you can rebook accommodation through another agent. In both cases, the accommodation will have to be paid for again.

At this stage, the Administrators are unable to provide any further information, other than what is stated above. However, should you have any queries telephone 0161 929 9805 Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm. The telephone will not be answered out of these hours or at weekends.

We booked a hotel with these for 4th & 5th October when we go to see Lee Evans.

Does anybody have any advice on what to do? Do we call them demanding our money back or alternative accomodation? This is all new to me so have no clue on what to do!

Any help appreciated....

Have also submitted a deal request for another hotel for these dates if anyone can help! Clicky Here

Have you paid in full for the hotel already? And if so was it a credit or debit card?

If it was a credit card you need to call your credit card company to start the process of getting your money back.

Unfortunately, it was not via CC. I thought that you can only claim over £100 anyway?
It was paid in full via Debit card....

Yowser. Sorry BB. I'm afraid it's unlikely you'll be able to get a refund if my own experience is anything to go by:

I had a flight to Ibiza booked a few years back with an airline that folded a month before I was due to fly. I too paid by Debit Card & despite initial contact that led me to believe it was worth a try, several letters, emails & unanswered phone calls to the administrators over a 6 month period still proved worthless.

All my mates booked on the same flights had paid by Credit Card & got every penny back. Gah!

Obviously you should still try, you may prove more successful & I wish you luck!

May I suggest that you call the Tourist Information/Board local to where you wish to stay & ask them for any deals - my folks often do this & have had some cracking bargains.

Good luck
