Ok peeps - here goes . . .

Salford Quays may be your best bet - less than half a mile away from the cricket ground you have:

Exchange Bar and Grill
Frankie and Bennies
Chiquitos
KFC (lol)
Harry Ramsdens restaurant

there are a few pubs in both directions on the road where the cricket club is, however if you head away from the cricket ground and toward Manc - only a few hundred yards, there's some traffic lights with a pub/restaurant opposite - turn right and carry on down that road and on the right after another set of lights theres a boozer called "The Throstles Nest".

Its interesting.

Plus, when you are at salford quays, you have the Lowry shopping mall with Lime bar and various restaurants now (plenty of parking too) :)
