Returning/cancelling new contract from carphone warehouse on Orange

Hi

My friend recently got a contract from carphone warehouse on orange for a lumia 610.

Now he can't get on with it whatsoever, however checking on carphones website there is no return policy for orange customers.

Is there anything that he can do to get around it? I know they have a coverage guarantee thing and maybe also if the phone was faulty it seemed it might be possible.

Jus seeing if anyone's got any good advice or info on what he can do?

How long has he had the phone, you normally have a cooling of period.

Was just going to say the same thing. Normally 7 to 14 days under distance selling regs if bought online or over the phone.

Failing that, what do you mean he can't get on with it? Do you mean the phone? Best bet to sell the handset on here as 'like new' assuming that it is, or take it to CEX with box and accessories and that, and buy an alternative handset.

about a week now

it states on carphone website that no returns policy :S

Well i took the talkmobile contract out other day on xperia u. They say in their boxing that if the sim card has been used in the phone then they won't accept returns on it.

I'm pretty sure if your friend has started using the service then you waive your dsr rights.

Went with mate back to shop and said that the coverage was poor for him at home and Uni

Got it cancelled and refunded :)
