Returning my Hannspree

Received my JT01 E2 last week but I want to return it for 2 reasons, firstly the sound cuts out on low volume parts of dvds/freeviews (scarts) and secondly the orange and red look very odd!

I bought it from Ebuyer and received it Friday the 3rd I think. Where do I stand on returning it?

As in...do I have to pay postage costs? what happens if they test it and disagree that there's a problem? I've looked and they say I can return it for a refund if faulty within 28 days but not overly confident ebuyer wont try and screw me.

You have consumer rights to return things bought off the internet within 10 days as long as its in resellable condition, its some act which i cant remember the name off. Ebuyer tend to be very good with returns from my experience. They will refund up to £5 of the postage costs if they accept the return i think.

Those would be the Distance Selling Regulations however the OP wants to return the item under the Sale of Goods Act 1984 - goods "not fit for purpose" demanding a full refund, and immediate collection by courier at their expense.

95% of the time the tv is fine but seemingly at random the sound cuts out...my problem is what happens when ebuyer collect at their expense as you say and then don't happen to experience the problem when testing it?

Say it's sporadic - that way they can't disprove your claim & will have to refund under SOGA as it's within the 6 month presumption for defects.
