Ridiculous small print for T-Mobile Contract!!

Some of you may have saw my thread yesterday wondering about an "incorrect" phone bill!
Well phoned them last night and to cut a long story short basically T-Mobile contracts have a minimum call time of 1 minute, so if you call someone and get their answer machine straight away - takes 1 - 2 seconds for you to hang up (unless you want to leave a msg) BUT THEY TAKE 1 MINUTE AWAY!!!!
So 10 times = 10 minutes out of your contract minutes!!
Then when some calls were made outside of allowance and was for 1-2 seconds they charged us 25.5p FOR GETTING TO SOMEONES ANSWERING MACHINE!
WHAT A JOKE!!

Useful bit of info to point out, must have been making alot of calls and hanging up straight away.

I think most networks charge by the second but I think they're gradually changing to having minimum call charges etc.

He is a pain in the bum for it esp as i rarely have signal in my house! Then whan someone is on the phone, he will keep trying until they are off! BUT NO MORE!!!

Might be worth taking a contract for another network if it saves some money. There are free contracts via cashback if you trust them.

I think various carriers have done this now, and I'm pretty sure Virgin do on their landlines too. Not sure about BT.

What a joke, if they could calculate the cost of a call in seconds half a century ago they sure as hell can do it now. Greedy swines!

Yep - it's stupid! Trouble is he is only 2 months in to it! He told them on the phone that he wasn't told about it - which he wasn't as i was with him and she said take it up with them (jag) as there isn't anything she can do! But then its our word against his!!

You were probably sent t&c's in the post which you would have agreed to if you didn't dispute them in the first 7 days or something like that.

This is what puts me off getting a contract phone.

I would be more than prepared to get a phone on contract but know something in the smallprint will end up causing me issues.

T-Mobile charge my mum-in Law and OH just for phoning me and hanging up, not even getting to answer phone.

When OH was in Morocco he used to just give me 2 rings on my mobile so that I knew to phone him back (it's cheaper from here to phone there) and they charged him for every missed call - about 70p each time and the 'calls' were listed as 1 second, 2 seconds (they didn't even connect) and his bill came to about £90 extra!

Sod that, the ol' 1 ring works great when you and friends wanna save money!

Tell you a dumb thing that happened to me phonebill wise - I had 14p or so added to this months phonebill (that is usually £0) for apparently calling myself twice... for exactly 2 minutes. What the hell? 1. Why would I be charged for a call that isn't even outgoing and 2. WHY IN THE NAME OF F*** WOULD I CALL MYSELF???

One of 6 thousand reasons why Virgin suck like a Dyson.
