Hi say i bought a dvd and i want to transfer it onto my ipod for personal use but it has copy protection on it how do i remove it or bypass it - i know its an exe fil but cant member which

Used to use dvd decrypter years ago, neat little program :thumbsup:

dvd decrypter is shareware and it removes protection as it copies to hd taking 20-30 mins or so it then needs to compress taking another 20-30 mins. Anydvd just makes the pc blind to protection and this is a much faster process. You should use anydvd with clonedvd mobile(made especially for converting dvd to mobile formats) and be able to do a direct conversion from dvd to mp4(ipod) in @ 20-30mins depending on dvd speed and processor power. both available for 30 day trials.

You might be able to copy it - but if you want it to play, you need to rip it first.

You can legally make one back up of a disk you own.
that is why it is why they call it a back up and not a copy.

same applies for music videos games etc - you must own the original of the back up.
