I am asking for some advice regarding an order we placed with the River Island online store. Placed the order on Thursday and, needing the items for an party on Saturday eveing, we paid extra for the express delivery. I recieved an email on Friday to say that the order had been dispatched on the 20th (Thursday) and I would recieve it within 48 hours. We're still waiting.
After complaining, River Island have said that it promised to get the items to us within two working days. The dispatch email never mentioned anything about working days so I'm not very happy about the situation. Can I refuse to take delivery of the items, when they do eventually turn up, and expect a full refund?
