Which one do you rate as being better?

Trying to decide which one to get.

I have been offered a very good deal on rock band (65 pounds for everything icluding the game) but undecided if i should just wait for price of world tour to fall..

Opinions please

the drums are better on guitar hero IMO, but for 65 quid all in I would go for the offer you have!

Guitar Hero - World tour ;)

Best option,

Has amazing songs, amazing build quality in the drums / guitar etc, also reasonably cheap.

But Rockband is the cheapest overall, but i would say it's not worth even that..

Get Guitar hero :D
^^ for Ps3 too.. :)

Wait for RB2 Drums and add cymbol pack :)

Buy WT guitar and game to tie you over as RB drums work with WT anyway.

Do you mean the Rock Band band pack and game for £65?

I like the Guitar Hero band set more - then maybe buy the Rock Band solus games cos the tracklistings are great on the Rock Band games aswell.

There are some compatibility issues regarding using the differing instruments on the different games. I think they have been (or are being) patched.

Best to google :)

just a tip pal, I got the Rock Band instrument bundle for the 360 AND the guitar hero instrument bundle for PS3. Rock Band set cost me £60+£35 for the game so the offer you got is a good price - however...

tbh...imo the Rock Band instruments are a bit naff, they look and feel really cheap.

the guitar is frankly appalingly designed in both looks and functionality, the fret buttons especially are just utter rubbish.

the drumkit is ok, though people say the kick peddle is prone to breaking under exceptional duress(not used mine enough to find out) - it's far more noisy and plasticy(in looks and feel) than the GH4 drumset which is bloody fantastic(I'm bashing the hell out of my GH4 drum kit on expert level so I should know!) The drum pads and frame are exceptionally well made on the GH4 set - and your able to really put your arms into them essentially knocking 7 bells of **** out of them - as you should

Again the GH4 guitar is far superior in looks and funtionalty than the Rock Band guitar, really satisfying to use.

I'd say the actual games are pretty much on a par from my viewpoint so I'm buying both, I really like the Rock Band 1 tracklisting tho, really varied mixture of great tracks.

I know it seems a good offer but with prior knowledge I wouldn't touch the Rock Band bundle pack with a barge-pole.

Just my tuppence worth...

I found out this week that rock band software will not work with ANY other hardware other then its own brand, I bought the game for my hubby on the advice that it would work with guitar hero guitar..it dont!.
The guys at game also informed me this week that you need all the instruments to play the game not like it says on the sleeve, drums, mic or guitar.
the game is now on fleabay cos it stinks..lol
just my thought on it all.

This is not entirely correct, you should be more specific if you're going to post information like this - checck this compatibility matrix:

http://www.joystiq.com/Instrument-Compatibility-Matrix/

The Xbox version has full compatibility but the PS3 and Wii currently don't.

As for which game is better, I prefer the Guitar Hero instruments but Rock Band has a much better selection of downloadable content.
