guitar hero but got the rock band instruments (they were very cheap)

I like them both, but for track choice I prefer Rock Band. I bought a load of downloadable tracks for the first Rock Band, then imported all the tracks (apart from 3 I think) into Rock Band 2, so you end up with one game with masses of tracks to play.

However I do prefer the GH drums and other equipment. It's a pity that you cannot import previous GH tracks onto GH World Tour. I ended up selling GH 2.

Avoid GH Aerosmith though - it's utter turd.

I found Rock Band much easier than Guitar Hero. I prefer a challange so for that, I pick GH.

Yes, I just have the GH World Tour instruments and I use them to play GHWT, GH3 & Rock Band 2.

This shows which instruments are compatible with each game:

On the chart above, Les Paul is the wireless guitar that came with GH3 and x-plorer is the wired controller that came with GH2.

Maybe, if the DLC wasn't so rubbish.

Rock Band offers the best value if you want to add to the library. Get Rock Band 2, borrow Rock Band 1 and import the songs.

Then buy Don't Stop Believin' by Journey.

personally think rockband 2 is the best

can you import GH tracks into GHWT? like you can with rockband? surely the way to go would be to buy rockband band in a box and then get GHWT game on its own and rockband on its own, import the songs and just play rockband 2 and GHWT.... i'm swinging towards RB becuase its cheaper and im an ACDC fan

No, you can't import previous GH tracks into GHWT. If you want to play tracks from GH 2, GH3, and GHWT, you need all 3 games. There is some downloadable content for GHWT, but there's much more for Rock Band.
