We all know that Rockstar games get hyped beyond belief - especially on here. However, they tend to be a massive let down imo.

I just want to know what you would rate the following games out of 10 (taking into account the quality of other games out there):

GTA IV
Red Dead Redemption
LA Noire

I have GTA 4 and RDR, but still sealed. I have too many games, and not enough tme.

LA Noire is not a game that I think I will get until it's sub £10. Going by people's experiences, that will be 2 or 3 months after release.

Out of the first 2 RDR is the best. Not played LA Noire but might get it when its cheaper. U?

GTA4 - 10/10
RDR - 9.5/10
LA Noire - Just got it today so we will see

Rockstar make the sort of game I love. I can see imperfections in their games, but then every game has its imperfections. Their games have great stories, placed in an open, believable, living, breathing world. I find games like COD too shallow, RPGs like Oblivion too complicated and too deep. Rockstar games seem to find the ideal middle ground for me,

big mistake, completed in 3 days played for around 17 hours, not good. very very repetitive and really not all that.

I didn't finish either GTA4 or RDR - too big, too much travelling to do stuff.

They need to tighten the games up, make them less repetitive and just a bit more focused.

Red Dead Redemption - 9 (10 with undead nightmare)
LA Noire - 7

I disliked the seriousness of gta4 - much preferred the cartoony visuals of the predecessors... And the car handling. EURGH!

Sounds really terrible if you put 17 hours play on it in 3 days. What happens if you get a game you do like do you play it 22 hours a day?

I give them all 1 out of 10 because disliking popular things on the internet is a cool thing to do.

Red Dead is the best out of those 3.

LA Noire is too repetative they should have used only 3 cases or less and just really expand on a case it should involve alot people like for example your investigating a case and the criminals kidnapped your wife becuause your getting to close to the truth then you try to find her, Once you have found her dead you get mad angry and want to get guys whose killed her and then you find the presdient was behind the whole thing and you invesitage more and the president turns out to be a puppet and hes being controlled by others and then you wake up and spin your totem and it keeps spining and thats the ending scene

Defo GTA 4
Red dead is good but reallly boring,

Haven't played RDR and am holding out until LA Noire is cheaper, but I absolutely loved GTA4.

I got it on the day it came out, but it went largely unplayed for about a year. I started it immediately, but found the first missions boring and the car handling bad. Metal Gear Solid 4 came along soon after and I ditched GTA4 for that.

I went back to GTA4 and gave it a proper play through. The district you start off in has the most awful cars, and this is what put me off as I assumed they'd all be that terrible to drive. I progressed and enjoyed the missions and got some decent cars! I got so into it, I completed it to 100% - a very rare thing for me to do. Don't think I've played a game that thorougly since Crash 3!

17 hours will last me 3 weeks easily so happy with play time. If I ground a game to the finish in 3 days I would find a lot repetitive. I tend to play for an hour to hour and a half a night max and play 2/3 games on rotation so doubt I will get bored. Only game to bore me recently was blops.

u will see what i mean m8... trust me no matter how long u spread your gameplay out, disk 1 and 2 same thing and i mean same thing every case, without ruin it there is a reason but come on it must have literally took 5 mins to write the story line. you will realise when you play it. Get back to me when you realise which shouldn't be too long with the info i just gave you, and if your cleaver you will do what i did and trade it for credit in game and get £40. £8 profit for me so was happy with that shame about the piece of **** game though ;)

I can't believe that people rate Red Dead Redemption so highly! It is rubbish! Its boring, far too easy, bad dialogue, poor characters, full of glitches, mundane side tasks.

GTA IV was good (much better than RDR) but I thought the extra episodes that were released were very poor.

I've played every Rockstar game since the first GTA came out and have been steadily falling out of love with their games with each release. The humour that was prevalent in the gameplay in the earlier incarnations has all but disappeared.

I have liked the look of LA Noire from the very first trailer that emerged last year, but I am not at all surprised to see the poor reviews of it emerge on here. This happens with every game Rockstar put out. Might hold of from getting it until it is a bargain price

I liked all 3 of them.

Simple fact is that popular games people will say are crap as that's the nature of the beast. If someone came out with an invention that turned water into wine and was the most amazing thing on Earth than millions would come out saying it's a load of rubbish.
#29
GTA IV was a brilliant game
I hope they get round to making a san andreas version
Read Dead I liked too but picked up at least 6 months after release
LA Noire I will wait till it goes sub £15
Like many on here I have too many games still wrapped to be rushing out buying titles on release

Would cause a water shortage though.

GTA IV 5/10 -- Thought the story was boring, side-quests were repetitive. Thought the main character was an unlikable idiot. Really couldn't be bothered with the same old 'gansta' nonsense. Driving cars was painful. Out of six of my mates who have played it only one has endured it to the end of the story.

Red Dead Redemption -- 3/10 Got annoyed and fed up just after waking up in the first ranch. Fighting system was really awkward and cumbersome. Had no idea what the story was 'cause i got bored and skipped. Unique in that it made Fable II look like genius.

LA Noire -- Haven't played, probably never will.

I agree they have gone downhill.

GTA 3 - amazing
GTA: Vice City - one of the best games ever made
GTA: San Andreas - amazing

Since then - very disappointing...
