Meh.... Now Disney own it, there'll be countless movies/TV series/cartoons/merchandise.

Look out for hidden mickeys and hidden Disney characters everywhere.

Vader soon to be voiced by John Ratzenberger and theme music rescored by Randy Newman.

Can't wait. Must have watched the trailer once for every one of those days.

Hopefully rogue one will have a good story and not be a cameo starwars reunion fest with a borrow plot. I like the starwars universe but prefer to see more of it with a good plot and not a half baked quantum of solace writers strike effort.

Look at the quality of that cartoon - Phileas and Ferb. Is this the tosh that kids are shown these days. Absolutely no quality in that shoddy artwork!

The cartoons I grew up watching were far superior in story and artwork!
Wild Cats - https://youtu.be/xGISX9EwGFA
Exo Squad - https://youtu.be/UtLePVNzMI8
etc.

I will be seeing it..... If I can get some cheap tickets from a deal on here! :D

Don't be silly. We're from the same generation, but let's be honest. We were funnel-fed toy adverts.

The stuff now is infinitely smarter than anything we ever had. 'Adventure Time', 'Regular Show' even 'Spongebob'. I can't think of anything from our era that could compete, short of 'Ren & Stimpy', maybe 'Rocco's Modern Life'. The shows now are just that. Shows, first and foremost, rather than marketing materials.

Although I tip my hat to your 'Exo Squad' nod. A sophisticated show for it's time, but did anyone who wasn't into 'Gundam' actually watch it?

We did. All Disney, just like Phineas and Ferb. Which is better than any of them in terms of writing.

Looney Tunes and Popeye are a few decades early surely? Unless you're a Vampire??

Was just going to list those exact shows, the shows we had in the 80's most were edited redubbed japanese cartoons,

Me and the kids have just recently worked our way through Steven Universe, which is now getting a decent story. but Adventure Time, Gumball, Regular Show etc are miles above the stuff we had as kids.

I was hoping that Mads Mikkelson's character was gonna be Starkiller .. but turns out he's another "Galen" :(

there is still hope he'll make an appearance at some point (fingers crossed)

I'll wait for the Tesco after Christmas Sale to get the toys 75% off.
The film doe slook to being good.

Disney haven't ruined Star Wars yet, to be fair George Lucas made a right rear end of the prequels.
Star Wars Rebels is decent enough.

Exo squad was about 92. I think there was only one series of it though. It was a little philosophical. I didn't watch it in the day, rather sought it out later because of my interest in mecha anime, Gundam specifically.
