I think he is too much trouble and manchester united should make as much out of the so called slave as they can and get rid of the whining whinger to which ever sad club that pays the most.As you see i'm not a united supporter but he is no good for the team if he does not want to stay there and lets hope he flops where ever he goes.

We need the best player one back!!

Ronaldo is too much trouble? 42 goals in a season and god knows how many assists.
Im a United fan and if I came home and found him in my bed with my girlfriend I would put a little bit of music on and let them get on with it. Id then probably offer him a cuppa afterwards.
He can cause as much trouble as he likes as long as he stays a United player.

Hmmm. So why close a thread entitled "Best Player in Euro 2008"?

Unless you think that was Ronaldo (and I doubt anyone would) it has zero to do with this one which is titled about a transfer!

I know its "football" but topics can be different! Honest!:p

Fair call- I've put that one back up now-
My point is having four or five threads about a similar topic is unfair on other forum users who view the forums in most recently discussed order.
But yeah, this one and the Euro 2008 thread are fine.

JB I created a football thread ages ago, can't u just linkeverythhing to that to keep it all in 1 place?

so going by this logic then why are there always numerous congrats for umpteen posts or very similar words games thread?

don't mind them but surely same logic has to be appilied accross the board.

To be fair to JB here, there were several similar threads all started within a couple of minutes. There wasnt any need for 3 "Should Ronaldo go" threads - especially with that time frame. (Though I wished it was the others saved and not this one...... since this one was just moans about the other - which was under way.)

However, the notion of "congrats" has been constantly brought up in feedback. Ive got no issue if someone wants to pat someone on the back, but its quite obvious people just trawel member details to post it. I have no idea why... but post counts ar important for some I guess!

But I'd agree with the idea.

One Congrats thread that can be added to at anytime - and stop cluttering things up. Works for football!!!:p

Dont agree.

There are lots of threads about football. Most have specific topics, though not all. You cant lump everything together. It would be like have 100 conversations at once! It would work for Congrat threads though. (hint hint!)

Besides. Football threads can at times become unruley. What happens once you lock a 10,000 post thread because of it!

yeah i know why similar threads were deleted and havn't a problem with it but why is the same logic not applied with the congrats threads/word games.

why do similar type threads like all the gta threads that appeared for a week or so immediately all get lumped together yet there are usually at least half a dozen congrats/word games threads on the front page all the time and yet they are all allowed to stay.

thats my main gripe. i've read the feedback threads for ages and nothing is ever done about it.

Totally agree. They only exist as rep magnets.

Alright, we'll leave it here.

With regards to the congrats threads etc, I don't think that discussion needs to carry on in this thread :) Let's get it back on topic now :)

Ferguson should send a messgae to world football and let the whining f***er rot in the reserves until the end of his contract, throw him in a champions league game for 10mins just to cup tie him (just in case) footballers (some not all) really p me off. As much as Ronaldo is a cracking player, fergie could do world football a favour by standing up to him

Agreed.

I dont think that the Glaziers would see it that way though.
#35
Pretty sure the Glaziers said he was going nowhere, someone at some point has to take a stand. Whats the point in these ridicolous contracts if your free to walk out when you feel. Sepp Blatter hasn't helped, he should be forced to go after those slave comments.

Blatter is nothing but a fool. And I dont think Ronaldo did himself any favours at all with his remarks.

There is nothing wrong though with the Real Madrid contact though. Man U are one of the worse for this sort of thing.

Yup, Man U reserves hopefully next season should be better than before!:p

agreed with this in principle but its never going to happen.

as soon as he gets told to train with the kids then the lawyers will be called and would result in him somehow squirming his way out of his contract through some eu law resulting in man u getting next to nothing for him and opening another minefield that'll give players even more power.

so just take the 70 million, get an arsey ungrateful whining prima donna out the door and use the cash to get a good few top quality players in.

chances are he'll end up winning as much as beckham/owen did when they went to real what with barca getting rid of some dead wood, chelsea getting scolari, mourinho at inter and man u's cash from ronaldo.
