Rough idea of how much I could save on electricity by getting a new fridge/freezer

Trying to convince myself to get a new fridge/freezer. Would be interested in getting a rough idea of how much electricity could be saved by ditching my old fridge/freezer for a new energy efficient one. If I could save say £50 a year on the energy then it would pay for itself over the space of 4 years.

Any idea roughly how much my fridge/freezer is costing to run? It's probably about 20 years old or something, it was my Grandad's!

Cheers!

I'm not sure but maybe some energy website as a chart. I know you go by energy efficiency charts, the higher upto A it is,the more better for environment and all of that.Maybe some brands will say how much it is to run.
After 20 years, you could do with a new one surely anyway.

Doesn't Comet give you £50 cashback (discount) off a new fridge when you trade in your old one?
