The Reds were granted permission to speak to the 62-year-old two weeks ago by his current club Fulham.

it was Dechamps they were linking us to (World Cup winner and very succesful player at Juventues). Other players had linked us with Rijkhard

Not sure how I feel about Hodgson, clearly a short term placement by the American owners to get the best out of the existing squad with no transfer kitty until they can sell the club later in the year

Hope he brings Zamora to Anfield. We need proven premer league players on a budget.

i'm only being realistic. I know things are going to get bad before it gets better. Liverpool needs stability and until there are new owners, this will not happen.

Not too sure about Roy.
Definitely not gonna be our year this year and the way it's looking, unfortunately gonna be a while before it is!! :(

If I was a Liverpool fan I'd be happy with that appointment. You get the best of both worlds, a proven Europoean manager as well as someone who knows the English mentality and a background in Premiership management. he will be experienced in handling both British and Europoean players and styles of football.

Any other European manager is going to take a season or to to adjust to the premiership even if it is one of the big namses, Roy will be able to work from the off.

Personally I'd have him as England manager tomorrow.
