Please be aware that Royal Mail does not deliver on public holidays. The following days (or days taken in lieu of) are classed as public holidays.

New Years Day
Good Friday
Easter Monday
May Day
Spring Bank holiday
August Summer bank holiday
Christmas Day
Boxing Day

In addition to these days,

Northern Ireland observes:

St Patricks Day
Battle of the Boyne (Orangemen's day)

Scotland observes:

2nd January
NB: There is no public holiday on Easter Monday in Scotland.

It depends on the following:

1-If they can find anything to go on strike about.
2-The local weather in your area-
i.e. rain- they will be siting in a van supping tea.
cloudy- they will be sitting in a van supping tea while they wait for rain.
sunny- they will be sitting in a van supping tea while looking for a reason to go on strike
3-Depends on how many of them phone in sick
4-Depends what mood they are in
5-depends whether you have got a long garden path/''vicious dog"/ treacherous/hazardous access or any other Health & safety claptrap they can dream up.

However, I do believe the official line is yes, there are supposed to be deliveries tomorrow but as it is Good friday, it is counted as a public holiday, so you might be lucky and get something on Saturday.

depending on all the above.

Thanks Becky , was expecting something from Parcel force and was told it would come tommorow as sent by 24 hour delivery....ah well looks like next week now :?
At least it stops me waiting in for it for nothing.

Post on Saturdays and then back to normal on Tuesdays. Dunno about Parcelforce on Saturday if they busy you might be in luck for Saturday delivery.

Saturday is not a bank holiday - so you just might be lucky.

"Working Day" means any day other than a Saturday (save for a Saturday on which Parcelforce Worldwide has agreed to make a delivery), Sunday, Bank or Public Holiday, Good Friday and Christmas Day and any other day on which the Parcelforce Worldwide network is closed. - was it sent "working day" post?

"Parcel Farce"??????

Sometimes they deliver , sometimes they don't. Depends on wether what you are expecting might have some value on the black market!

Sorry I know I should not judge all Parcel Farce workers with the same brush but I have had an extraordinary number of items go "missing"

Don't talk rot.

Wikipedia: Parcel Force

"Parcelforce Worldwide, part of the Royal Mail Group Ltd, is one of the top five express parcel carriers in the UK."

Hence, if you post something more than a kilogram via Royal Mail it will be delivered by ParcelForce. Also, hence why this Parcelforce site is hosted on the RoyalMail.com domain.

So think before you type. :p ;-)
