if it was sent recorded think its upto 37 quid, not sure you can claim anything if its just sent by first class.

up to £39 - though you need all sorts of receipts etc and proof of posting. Think they only give you 1st class stamps back unless it was Recorded delivery. I just got a claim paid after mine went missing but I'd sent it RD and got the full £21 back plus the postage I'd paid. It's on their website - how to claim and what compensation is etc.

I do have the postage receipt, but no a receipt for the item that is missing...
Do I need to rip of a page from a shop catalogue or can I print out a copy of the item detail and cost from the website?
The reason why I ask is because I heard that ‘For legal reasons’ you cannot give them a ‘Internet printout’.

the printout will be fine as long as there is something with your name and address in it to prove that you purchased it, page from catalogue wont do as anyone can have that, if it was an internet order print off a copy of the comfirmation email or something similar

I have claimed a few times now and have never had stamps, just a cheque for the amount - had to provide proof of postage and paypal printout to show items value (ebay claim)
