Royal Snail - Need advice

I sold something on here and sent it recorded delivery on 08/12/08. But my buyer hasn't received it and it has no information when I try track it online. I've tried to call royal mail twice to find out what the situation is with the delivery to see if its definatly lost but after going through all the options it cut me off.

Whats the procedure for claiming with Royal Mail? Do I need a receipt for the item I sent (I have got my receipt for sending recorded)? And is there a rule on this site for refunding my buyer, as in do I wait for confimation from royal mail that the item has been lost?

Never lost anything in post before (lucky I know) so any help would be great

Cheers

you will need the reciept, and to fill THIS form in. most of the info is on the form.

Cheers thanks for that.

Only problem is that I haven't got receipt for the item as it was Geras of War on the 360 that I got ages ago. Is there anyway to still get the compensation?

screenshot of a website price should be sufficient?

they only give £30 compensation anyway, you should refund the buyer though, as paypal will do it for you if he opens a dispute...

yeah just print off a page of the current price.....or highest to £30 and send that in. thats what I did and it was ok.

Isn't it up to £36 covered now?
