Not one bit, on the + side there are some street parties near to me so it's a great excuse to get out and be sociable!

Not really bothered but it's a day off

Why did they have to ruin it but letting the schools off too :p

Couldn't give a toss, should be fun to see if any anarchist protesters attempt to sabotage it though.

Funny actually because there is a protest that cant be moved just next to the abbey, think its an anti-war protest though

Will we get a day off for the divorce?
#13
No more than any other wedding involving two strangers.

I wish them well, just as I would anyone getting married, that's about it.

couldn't give a monkies and I think the governments push to get us to do street parties etc think we have nothing better to spend our money on, not like everyones skint though, just comes across as the royals rubbing our noses in it that they are rich toffee nosed tosswits that dont live in the real world!!

Not at all.
I guess it won't be the only thing on the tele what with all the channels these days, but my god I was **** of at that Diannas funeral when there was nothing else on to watch!

Apparently those street parties are more common the further south you go.
I know of none around here.I suspect there will be even less in Scotland.

out of all the royal family, prince william is the only one i like. he just seems like a nice, decent bloke!

so, i might just end up watching the wedding on tv.

i hope he becomes king instead of charlie!

Ooo I am heading over to south manchester for a finger sandwich on the big day.

Not many on my street get on so there will be no party here.

Doesn't really matter to me but I hope kate doesn't get any thinner because she will be invisible.

weddings are old news now everyone gets marred so we not really bothered who does what. happy with the extra holiday though! :)
#24

I;m about as south as you can get and no-one has even mentioned anything about street parties.

WTF would go to one of those just to look like a complete berk?

The Queen and Kate Middleton had tea last week and Kate asked Mer Maj what the secret of a long and happy marriage was.

She said "Don't **** one off and if you do wear one's seatbelt."

Couldn't care less. Was already on holiday anyway.

I think its great and will thoroughly enjoy watching it

Its a major worldwide event taking place in England

Great publicity for the UK and a win for everyone, nothing negative about it at all

I'm really looking forward to it and have since the day it was announced. We've got a choice of 3 street parties to go to, but will probably spend some time at each if them. Nothing like a Royal Wedding to stir some national pride.

Some of the above might be BS!

I remeber street parties when it was the Silver Jubilee X)

I find it depressing that so many people seem to care about a member of an outdated institution getting married.

The best thing about this country is that it's a meritocracy, and the notion of people having a birthright flies in the face of that.

Maybe some form of 'incident' that wipes out the entire inbred lot of them would be for the best and we could stop the childish belief in kings and queens.
#39
Not in the slightest.
