Royalmail redelivery question...

Normally if I miss a package I just go and collect it from the sorting office, never done the redeliver thing before, but on Tuesday I missed a package that needed a signature, and it says they only keep it a week before sending it back to sender...and I can't get to town until next Tuesday, so arranged to get it redelivered today...only, today...no sign of the thing. So my question now is, is it likely to come tomorrow, or another day? is it back in the 'to be delivered' pile, or did something go awry and if it didn't come today, it won't be coming at all? And...will it now stay at the sorting office until next Thursday (1 week) or will it still count as 1 week from Tuesday?

What a pain in the *bleep*

I will probably give them a call tomorrow, but thought one of you guys might know/have an idea...

It sounds like the message never got through to the delivery guy. Unless they tell him to deliver it I bet it will stay in the sorting office until the 7 days are up.
I would phone them again.

i think the online redelivery is new. I normally phone the post office but they have changed the greeting when you ring up and it now tells you to go on line its very simple to do and they send a confirmation to your email addy

^ Yeah that's where I arranged to get it redelivered...I got an email with a confirmation number and everything so it should have gone through. So either A) I got unlucky or B) don't arrange redelivery on the internet cos it doesn't work lol

I don't know what to do now, because you cant arrange for it to come next day..has to be at least 2 days, so if I am gonna try AGAIN I need to do it now, so it can come sat, otherwise it'll be too late...but I don't know if it's already in the system so to speak. Meh.

I ordered for something to be redelivered online for tuesday, never arrived.
I rang up the depot and theyre apparently sending it out for tomorrow with another parcel we missed. better bloody arrive as well or il be very pissed off.

wouldnt blame the site as such since theyve made a mistake with my stuff before when I rang the depot, and just the other day some man paid 50p to have it sent down the road to our postoffice, literally a 5minute walk, it didnt turn up for 2 days!

they can be pretty useless.

Hi jeanettemenard
We are not the Royal Mail; we are a deals website.
You might get more joy if you contacted the Royal Mail about this.
Thanks
