not worth spending any time at all trying to fix a 2006 console, just buy a new one they're cheap enough these days
not worth spending any time at all trying to fix a 2006 console, just buy a new one they're cheap enough these days

it is jtagable tho that why i was going to try and fix it
Try doing it for longer then 5 mins? I baked for about 30 mins last time.
secondard error code is 4 lights then 1 light then 4 light then 2 lights

which looks to me like 0 1 0 2

then it goes off and then it goes back on and works again

its dash 7363
imo something still overheating. Try replacing the thermal on both sides (GPU, CPU)
i cleaned off what ws there last night and re applied fresh on and it works and then it went off to 3 red lights, tired this morning and it ws 3 red lights and then it worked again, left it on for 10 mins on main dash and then switched it off for 15 and then back on back to 3 red lights
omg why is it duplicating what i say, its so annoying and looks to be very buggy
It is when you click several times and it repeats.

Regardless seems like you haven't left it long enough in the first place, and there maybe to much on or too little. I was just keep re-giging until you get it right, none of my RROD repairs required any pads on the back of the GPU or CPU. May even find its causing more problems.
I tried this myself with 2 xboxes, replacing the clamps, replacing the thermal pads everything.

Took it to a shop advertising 360 repairs, they advised me to sling it as they said it cant be fixed permanently and they got sick of people bringing them back.

Their is a way to do it permanently however as I have a friend who's xbox has worked for the last 12 months after getting constant RROD. However it involves cutting holes in your xbox case and attaching PC case fans to it to draw more air through. The problem is it sounds like a jet engine all the time and I didnt fancy it.

By yourself a cheap second hand Jasper xbox and your saving yourself time and money
what will i need to do that???

hardware wise, may be worth a shot,
As far as I know, 2 PC case fans, a soldering iron and a dremel.

Need to dremel out the holes for the fans, put one either side of the case, one sucking, one blowing. You then need to do some clever soldering to get the case fans connected to the power.
i have 3 xboxs, 2 modded with 1.61 and a non touched elite for online live play

i was wanting a jtaged 360 so can play ntsc but they are hard to get and then i bought this one unknown at the time what it would be like and it cost me 20 and i got it powred up drive not modded and has a jtagable dash
any one got any other ideas
Mate try bumping in the afternoon/evening not at gone midnight everytime.
or else you'll get people like me replying.

just reapplied paste and headsinks, and bolts, powers up again and seems to load games, so not sure how long this will last but its working again ... will just have to wait and see
sounds like it needs a proper reflow/reball

or can try reflowing with a heat gun
