I agree. Amazon advertising their sale makes me wonder if that will be as bad.

Tv sales are crap all they have done is taken away the free sound bars

Its not really as its excess clearance stock to get rid of. They buy it to go into the sales. I really never bother will planned sale events and just buy at the end of range changes/promotion ends when shops will really cut price to get rid of stock

Boxing day sales that are just warming up on Christmas day, who'd have thought it.

Most sales are crap now anyway, they buy in stuff specifically to sell in the sales, it's not wgat it used to be, where they genuinely sold of excess stock etc

black Friday has trumped boxing day that's why

Heat added! :D

Haven't you had enough of shopping yet?

Maybe they're rubbish because it's still before Boxing Day itself? Merry Christmas everyone btw.

I've been looking on AO in the past for an oven, and I've got written down £549. Today I see its in their sale at £599, reduced from £650....

Been waiting weeks for the boxing day sales for a good deal on a new tv (particularly at John Lewis) and have been left rather dissapointed. :(

Also, the Richer Sounds sales.Spotted a Sony AV receiver,it had £50 off and was available online, now it has a further £50 off and you have to go in store to get it.The same with a set of Pioneer speakers I wanted, now more money off,but not available online, what's that all about? They are not clearance neither. My local shop is miles away and couldn't be bothered with the hot crowded shops.Grr.Also,Black Friday sales were really poor this year

The usual shops have good deals, like Next (cloths and furniture) or River Island, but the sale on electrical items are crap. I held out to the sales to see if Currys and such stores reduced their computers, but £50 off here and there is nowt when your willing to spend around £1500. I also wanted a cheap freeview box but they only seem to be knocking cash off the top end versions.

I wish retailers would go back to old style selling... A reasonable price year round with a proper January sale. All the shenanigans with has to have been dearer for so long blah blah gets my goat.
I object to the rip off Boxing day sales starting Christmas Eve. It must be so soul destroying if you have a young family and have to buy early to see it all reduce the day before Crimble. I don't like giving money as a gift but have decided it's the way forward, **** to giving retailers double the price! Bah bliddy humbug.
