Hello All

Ive never flown anywhere with ryanair and i am going to book some flights in the next couple of day. I know some people hate them and ive read the horror stories but if i play by their rules i can get really cheap flights....

the question is, can i book a flight to say girona from bristol, then return to bournmouth from reus on the same booking?

Or would i have to book the outward journey, then start again and book the return and thus pay in euros for the return leg.

Any help would be appreciated - also how stringent are they on the carry on bag size....? do they measure it exactly or just take a quick look and say its ok!

You'll have to make seperate bookings for each journey and location

Carry on bag sizes there is a "box" it has to fit into, it it looks like it might be oversize they make you put it in to see if it's too big or small enough to be carry on
and they are extremely rigin on allowances, 15Kg last time I checked and thats per person NOT per bag, and if two people are travelling you cannot mix and match your allowances to make 30Kg out of all the bags.

What you are suggesting is not really a 'return' flight in the traditional sense as you want to use 4 different airports for each leg of the journey. You will need to make separate bookings i'm afraid.

Yes, you'll have to book each leg separately.

With respect to carry on baggage, they are usually quite strict- definitely only one item per person. They have some measuring frames to put your bags in to check that they fit. It's all down to safety really as bags need to fit either under the seat in front of you, or in the overhead compartments.

+1

They usually insist that all hand luggage per person is in one bag - that means hand-bag as well.

You often have passengers rejigging their stuff becauseof this.
The size measuring racks seem to me to be totally superfluous as I have seen much much bigger hand luggage being ignored. We always stick to the proper dimensions though - just in case (!! don't want to risk it) and whinge quietly to each other about the people having to force their hand luggage into the overhead lockers, taking up the room.

The 1p flight sale is on just now ( for a couple of days); I popped there to see if your flights were available but the site is jammed.

Ryan Air is fine - it's a budget air line. We've flown lots with them.

Ive flown Stanstead to santandar with these over 50 times. Never had any problems with service or bags. I often found on the reurn leg you wernt limited to hand luggage and have seen people getting on with large cases. They were very strict about the weight though.!
