I have just had an email from Ryanair informing me the flights i booked from Derry to Glasgow (june) have changed, changed so much to next day and flights are now wrong way round , ie now departing glasgow instead of Derry 24 hours later, they have offered a refund on flights but what are the chances they will reimburse my glasgow hotel booking of £77 which is non refundable, gutted to be honest as i will now miss AC/DC at hampden all because ryanair changed my flight!! anyone managed to get accommodation refund out of ryanair in similar circumstances? i see their telephone lines only open 9 -5 0871 number yikes, and no email address for customer service so looks like i will have to bite the bullet and ring them from my mobile(yes i know will be a lot more than 10 p a minute) in morning :( if anyone has manged extra compensation than just ticket refund plz let me know, thanks

What are the dates you have to be there? We'll see if we can work round the problem.

Hi

I booked flights from Glasgow to Derry last year and the changes were more than24hrs that they offered me the price of my flight for compensation as vouchers to spend with Ryanair. So I accepted the vouchers and kept the flight, although when i got to Prestwick for my flight i had to pay 300 squid for the flight as they said there was a mix up and i was removed from the list.....!
I wrote several letters and herd nothing back... so pretty peeed off. I would have loved to not use them again but it dirt cheap and its straight to Derry..! So good luck, and a hope ye get something back off them.

can you ask them to change you to a flight a day earlier instead of a day later?

or i know its a nightmare-but you can get the ferry and train.....takes an age i know-but shouldn't be too rough in June and you would get to the concert-loads more hastle and doesn't help with Ryanair-but might can you to the concert.

no there is apparently no flights now on the day i want to travel 30th june,(my original booking was going out derry 30th june to glasgow, coming back from glasgow to derry the next evening 1st july ) concert is on 30th june at 5pm hampden, flight originally got in at 13.50 pm,i know they have offered a refund but i will be out of pocket for the hotel, nice of ryanair to change flight to not only next day but departing glasgow now instead of Derry, clowns!

sadly not an option for many reasons, mostly time element, its not the end of the world , i still plan to see ac/dc either dublin or wembley, just glasgow would have been special, was just curious if anyone here had managed to get more compensation out of them for accomodation costs.

Got luck trying to contact them. Had problems with flight before christmas and they were an absolute nightmare trying to get in contact with. Even tried ringing their £1 per min line but to no avail. Dirt cheap but non-existent customer service

Newbie poster here, but wanted to share my experience of the recent Ryanair free (or cheap) flights promotion.

I managed to book two return flights from Manchester to Dublin for Monday 20th of April for £4.02.

This morning, I recieved an email from Ryanair telling me that our return flight had been brought forward from 20:40 to 18:10

Because we're only having a day trip in Dublin, this didn't seem enough time, so Ryanair either offered me a refund or a "Travel Credit".

I suspect that they wanted me to get a refund of my four English pounds, but instead, I contacted their Indian call centre and had the flights changed to a far more reasonable time on the Saturday before, for no extra cost.

There were no Saturday availability for the free flights when I booked them, so if anyone does have their flights changed by Ryanair (if they move a flight more than two hours) then you may well get a trip away at a more convenient time than planned.

We got the price of our return flights from Dublin back last summer as the flight was cancelled due to the radar system going down. We filled out a compensation form via their website.

Hope this helps

Direct number is +353 12480856. This is in Eire, so may be more expensive than the 0871 number
