Sainsburys vouchers in Tescos

Sorry if this is common knowledge amongst the hard core and savvy shoppers but i think i should let it be known. I recently used a Sainsburys voucher (£4 off a £20 shop) in Tesco and they accepted it with no questions. This is not available in Asda as i have tried there. Also, the voucher number from Sainsburys do not work on line as far as im aware, but I could be wrong and im not sure if the tesco vouchers will work in Sainsburys.

Like i said, sorry if its common knowledge but its my first post and rather than promoting an item i thought i would promote something that can be used all year round (subject to obtaining the vouchers)

Not sure this qualifies as a deal...

It's been known for years but some stores take them and some don't.....no matter how long you argue with managers!

my tescos do not allow this. they kick up a big fuss that i dont bother trying now.

But its good for those who do shop in stores that allow it.

Its worth checking. Tescos used to accept coupons for products you didnt purchase. I used to get a few quid of my xbox games. Someone mentioned they take the Farm Food vouchers.

No, they stopped taking Farmfood vouchers and Lidl I think but should take others. It's like Mcdonalds should honour Burger King vouchers but most wont, it's a policy that is told to managers during training but doesn't always get passed down among the staff.

i undrstand this is not a "deal" in the typical sense, however this is something most people can relate to and from teh response i have been getting im happy i let people know. However, im quite bemused that some take ait while others done. Maybe Tesco need to clarify the situation with their staff and standise the system. Oddly enough the voucher was scanned not manually input and it deducted the amount from the total. So nect time you are at yor tesco just ask them to scan it and see what happens.
