Sale of goods act does apply! Not fit for purpose does not do what they were designed to do.

Thats what i said to them , but they told me sunglasses are excluded , i asked to speak to manager and was told she wasnt in and to come back , but house of fraser is quite far from me so dont want to waste another trip.

I would forget about it if i had good use out of them but to only have a few days of wearing them is a bit of a joke

It's best if you get it sorted out soon, the later you leave the more chance of them coming up with excuses saying you've had it for x number of days already.

Agree'd, go when you get chance, demand to speak to the manager or someone of higher authority, if they aren't in, ask them to call them as you aren't leaving until the matter is corrected.

The exact thing happened to a friend whilst we were on holiday, he had raybans and took them back to the rayban shop and they just said grab a new pair and gave him and instant exchange.
Not sure if he had his receipt but he was really chuffed with their service.

Don't take prisoners on this one mate. Sale of goods act is for anything, whether it's cost you £1 or £1000. If they don't fit the purpose they were bought for, or a manufacturing fault then as you bought them from House of Fraser, they have to sort it out.

Next stop Citizens Advice and/or Trading Standards.

Thanks alot for everyones advice , i just rang them up and ive quoted some information on the websites you posted and they said would i be happy with a replacement, i said yes

Give ya some rep

Cant believe how easy it was this time , was only on phone few mins and they agreed , so im happy , i guess i should of just asked for my money back as i can get them for £45 cheaper now , but ive now agreed to replacement so cant be too fussy , just happy to get a replacment

I think problem was when i went instore i look quite young , so i think they thought they could fob me off , always been my problem looking to young

Mind you almost worked , as i had just put it down to a lost , only when i saw them sitting on the self , thinking wot a waste of money , that i even bothered to look into it again and asked on here.....so glad i did now
