How strange although I am sure someone will be along shortly to tell us the odds are just the same for the 6 to be repeated as any other numbers. I'm still waiting for my friends to get back off holiday, £113 million pound winner yet to come forward and apparently the ticket was sold in Coventry. Sure it's them..........

tbf i think the odds in the article are based on them coming out in exactly the same order too, which does change the probability.

does it though? cause the probability of any set of 6 numbers coming out is one in 14mil, or sumthing like so surely the same lot coming out again is technically the same odds regardless of what preceded them

odds of winning lottery is about 1 in 14 million
odds of an ordered set of numbers coming out 1 in 10 billion

yeah i know that, but if you want one in a specific order the probability is way lower.

like if i had the numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6 the odds of winning will be 1 in 14m
if i wanted them to come out in the order 1,2,3,4,5,6 or reverse the odds are 1 in 10billion

its the difference bewtween permutations and combinations
