I dont get why they make a 3g and a 4g version. i would be easier if they built everyhting in one phone?

I like the note 3. I currently use the note one but I like the idea of true multitasking.

No, the problem is the LTE modem - Qualcomm's modem is better than Samsung's implementation but to use that modem, Samsung have to buy the entire CPU/GPU package which is not ideal as Qualcomm are one of their main rivals. So Samsung only sell the Qualcomm based phones in territories which need the faster modem and otherwise they use their own chipset. It also helps them meet demand as at the moment it doesn't appear they can produce enough of their own processors to meet demand, the Exynos 5 Octa appears a complex processor and Samsung also use processors from other companies including Novathor (Samung Galaxy S3 Mini) and Broadcom (Galaxy S2 Plus).

Longterm Samsung obviously want to stick with their own platform but it looks like for now they're going to have the different platforms. The first Exynos 5 Octa has hit problems (an issue arises when the platform switches between the high and low power processors) so the new version is meant to fix this and they've changed the GPU as well from PowerVR back to ARM. The design is still very new and is going to take time to be properly supported, once it's matured and better supported plus if they stop producing Apple hardware (which is a massive portion of their manufacturing), they may switch to a single phone.

I have the original Note so can't wait to get a hold of the Note 3, looks great to have a bigger screen but slightly smaller plus still has micro SD expansion and a removable battery.

Using Note 2 atm deffo going to be going for Note 3 as this is personally the best phone I have ever used and the longest I have kept.

    Samsung are doing great things.

Same for me adsjones. I've had many phones and the Note 2 is the best I've ever owned. Not the longest I've kept one but, if the Note 3 hadn't of come out, it would be :p Although even if I just hold of til Christmas, it'll be the longest I've ever kept one haha. Last year alone I had an Xperia Arc, HTC Sensation, Galaxy S2, Galaxy S3, Lumia 800 and Note 2. Sometime during that I had a 4S as well lol and have a couple of secondary phones to the Note 2 for work, that haven't lasted long lol.
