Once I know your kernal version then I'll post link for the file you need. Just a heads up as you know that this will void any warranty on the handset.
Also do you have Ice Cream Sandwich on your SGS2?
kernal version - 3.0.15-i9100bvlpb-cl310231 dpi@dell151 #3
android 4.0.3
build number IML74K.BVLPB
http://download.chainfire.eu/143/CF-Root/SGS2/CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXX_LPB-v5.2-CWM5.zip?retrieve_file=1
Download the file
Run Odin
Click PDA
Add the above file
Turn your phone off
Turn on in download mode (power button+volume down+home buttom)
Continue pass the warning
Connect phone to PC should appear on Odin sayin its connecte
Click Start or Run on Odin and wait
Should take around 8-10 seconds but dont worry if it takes longer
Hopefully that will root your phone. To unlock just download the app in comment 1 and hopefully thats self explanatory...
Good Luck and hope it all goes fine.

The kernal is secure i think you just need to flash using odin and your phone will be rooted. There is nothing else you need after.
