Samsung Galaxy s2 - Wifi not working after ICS update. Please Help!

Since upgrading my Samsung Galaxy to ICS the wifi does not connect to my home wifi. It was working fine on Gingerbread.
When the wifi is on it shows the home network strength and even says its connected but when you try to load a web page nothing happens?!

Last week what happened was when I went to work the wifi worked properly using their network. I came home and wifi was working at home. I did not switch off my mobile or install any apps but the following day the wifi would not work!??

The wifi router is working fine as laptop and PC are connected so no problem with that.

Have restarted the mobile, forgotten the wifi connection & added it again, took out battery & restarted but no luck.

Also the GPS is messed up as well

Is any else having the same problems since the ICS update and do you have any solutions?

Yes! Plug in your mobile into Kies and it should tell you that a update is available. I would avoid doing the update for the problems mentioned above until they fix it!

I have read that but will have to install apps again? Also have read a few posts online with people who have the same problem and it seems to be a short term fix until it gets messed up a gain.
Any other solution?

Factory reset from Recovery, been running it for a few weeks and not a single problem at all, runs great.

Do you have any problems with the GPS?

I said not a single problem, so that means no problems.

Just flash it to the proper UK one instead of that orange crap.

Thanks for the advice. I'll give that a go

Not sure if connecting to my wotk wifi messes things up? It was fine with gingerbread though

Have you factory resetted after changing to the Generic UK one? It does sound like a problem a setting or app you are using is doing though.

I did the Wipe Data/Factory Reset from the Recovery Mode. Was I supposed to do a factory reset as well? Can I do this now or would I need to do a reinstall and then factory reset?
Thanks

Factory Reset from recovery mode is fine. You can do it again now if you want just to try if it works.

Ok, I'll try it again from the phone. I am thinking there might be a conflict after connecting to the work wifi & then coming home to connect to the home network?

Well if it's working after a factory reset it's obviously something your doing, don't connect to the work wifi for a few days and see if it happens.

I did not connect to the work wifi at all today.
