Samsung Tocco - Any Good ??

Ok so its the missus birthday in 10 days and im looking at getting her a new mobile. She likes flip down to answer phones but im not sure about the new phones out there and what is good/what is not.

The Samsung Tocco looks pretty small and neat for her, but im not sure is the lite is flip down or its only the ultra. Is this phone any good or are there other better phones out there for around the £100 mark ? Ive seen the Tocco for £80 odd on Vodaphone from e2save or something... is this worth it atm ?

So then is the Tocco any good ? Does it have a flip down to answer (where the keypad is underneath so to speak) ? Is this model a good reasonably price phone ? Whats the best deal out there atm ? I was looking at payg but if theres a good contract out there that makes sense i dont mind over 12 months non redemption.

Any help appreciated :-)

I have a samsung tocco 480 and its a nice phone, takes time getting used to the touchscreen but apart from that have had no problems at all.

Got a Tocco for my Mrs, really hated the touchscreen at first but she has got use to it now and she loves the big screen.

Only really, really annoying thing is the network name reappears in the middle of your screen every time you turn the phone on.

If say i got the £90 silver one from play i take it that one is unlocked ? If it is unlocked will it still display the network based on what sim card i put in it ?

Are there any other recommendations phone wise for this price then ? Ive been looking but havent got a clue where to start.

I've also been looking at Tocco Lite, best I found was
Phones 4u £78.25 incl a free samsung 8gb memory card but you do need to buy a £10 top-up, same price for orange, o2 or vodaphone and you get choice of black, pink or white, think there is also £10 if you go through quidco
http://www.phones4u.co.uk/shop/shop_payg_details.asp?ItemKey=271310
so all in all £88.25 (poss extra £10 extra quidco) for Tocco Lite, £10 top-up and 8gb memory card.

You can get rid of this, just slide it over to your widget like you would with the time, date etc .....

Do you know the little pens that you see with them, like the ds stylus, do they come with the phone and slide into the body ?

You don't usually get a stylus with the lite, you'd have to buy one if you wanted it,it attaches on and hangs from the phone
