San Francisco Rooting?

Hey everyone, Im wanting to root my phone, but being a first time android user doesn't help lol.

I have posted before and did look on Modaco forums but I still can't find things. What Im wanting is the latest root version and the froyo ROM to put on it, but I can't seem to find it.

I was told Paul has a good guide for both, but I can't seem to find them.

I know this is being lazy and it means you spoon feeding me the information, but im just confused what to do and where to find this information.

Please help, all your information is much appreciated.

people who do that may be able to enter the string in google but rarely actaully know what to look for or where to find it, much like your self so just ignore them,
cant help here myself but surely there will be someone with manners AND actual knowledge along shortly.

This is the guide I followed: linky

I used this guide because it seemed to be the easiest one to follow. It's 2.2 and my SF runs so much smoother with a significant battery improvement too (I also use Advanced Task Killer app which helps with battery life).

I'm not 100% sure about that. Your best bet is to ask that question on the page and take it from there. Other people have been asking questions today, so there's a good chance you'll get a quick reply.

I used this guide http://androidforums.com/san-francisco-all-things-root/230099-guide-flashing-your-orange-san-francisco-zte-blade-custom-rom.html
I looked at the others but found them more confusing than anything lol.
This one gives all what you need in one zip folder, if you want a different rom just go to Modaco and download one, make sure it's the correct one for your phone though ie TFT OLED screen. I'm currently using Jellyfish and it's great, no problems to report.

Once you have Clockwork Recovery installed on your memory card it's just a matter of putting the new Rom on your memory card when you want to change to a different one, real easy. Just remember to wipe data/cache before installing the new rom :)

Good luck :)

P.S like it says in the guide ... don't install the Rom in the zip folder if you have a TFT screen

You've started ANOTHER thread eh? are you going to actually look at the links provided (including the ones I posted in your previous thraed asking the same thing), or just ignore them, and ask again in another few days?

I did use those links posted in the other post, but when I went into the Moadco forum I couldn't find what I wanted to know. This is why I made this post so that I could get guides that would help me get exactly what I needed.

There were guides posted, but the zip files on the links wouldn't work.

I appreciated the help, but I needed more information. Sorry for adding another post, I just didn't want to mess everything up if I wasn't 100% sure what I was doing.

Just read through that guide and I have to say it is a really good step by step guide. I think I am 100% sure now, so tomorrow when I finally have time, I will root my phone.

Thanks for your help, and everyone elses too :D Oh and I will use the guide for 2.2 windhoek provided me which is also a very good step by step guide to go onto 2.2. I got what I need now thanks :)
