I have to agree I thought it was a yuk idea before I tried it! My girls like rolls in their lunch box but unless you buy them everyday they are hard by day 2, so I started to buy rolls on a Sunday make them up for the week (usually marmite or ham) on a Sunday night and take them out of the freezer on the morning they are needed. In the summer the rolls defrost slowly keeping the rest of the lunch cool & are perfect & very fresh at lunchtime! Would recommend freezing rolls/sandwiched to everyone saves time and stays as fresh as buying fresh bread everyday!!

Yes, just think of all that frozen stuff in the supermarket. Pizza - frozen?? OMG!!

You can freeze more or less anything that you want on a sandwich and you can freeze a sandwich. That's it really.
He is on about the title. The OP originaly asked about freezing the sandwich fillings, not the whole sandwich. But someone mentioned freezing sandwiches and the thread got hijacked. And it's not about whether I can be bothered to make them in the morning or saving cash ( I can't work that one out, making sandwiches and freezing them as opposed to making them fresh = saving cash. http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn219/jumpingphil/what.gif ).It's about being a single , working parent to two young girls and needing time.If I can make a batch of sandwiches in the evening when they are asleep, then all well and good for me.They are both still alive and healthy and neither has had food poisoning so I must be doing something right.I presume half of you have nannies to make the sandwiches for you.
No, just get up 10 mins earlier :p

there is being organised and there is being lazy, making sandwiches for your child in the morning for them to take to school is a basic requirement of being a parent

what complete drivel, if you think the preparation of a lunch in the morning is the making of a parent, then you should not become one, serisouly these delusions are disturbing
